Put steam in offline mode, then launch the game.

Maybe game system is weird as a matter of infinite durability for example special weapon power attack decrease durability and when eaten by big bug all of my character equipment durability decrease, sword armor shield….. all.
do i have to play with steam in offline mode to use this? from what i understand dark souls is semi online and it has warning of hack use will get you banned, while the game is only single player but with “hints of pvp” i’m not sure how the best way to use this.
excuse me sir remastered is set on off online and offline mode you don’t needed to do steam offline unlike prepare to die edition.
